I spent the majority of my professional career as a Drupal developer at VML (formerly VMLY&R), where I specialized in building custom modules and templates. I contributed to major project releases, conducted peer code reviews, and managed the codebase within a two-week release cadence. My technical toolkit included Atlassian products (Bitbucket and Jira), Composer, Twig, JavaScript, PHP, and SCSS following BEM methodology.

In addition to my Drupal work, I supported the redesign and launch of Airshare, a client site built on WordPress using the Divi theme framework. I collaborated on custom CSS and JavaScript enhancements to meet the project’s functional requirements and improve the live site's design and performance.

My academic background is in Art Education. I began my career as a Computers teacher, where I first discovered my passion for development. After meeting my wife in Nashville, we relocated to Kansas City at the end of the school year. I then spent four years teaching both Art and Spanish at an elementary school in Kansas City.

My core expertise is in graphic design, but my artistic skill set also includes oil painting, woodworking, and advanced drawing. Over the years, I have been commissioned for a variety of projects, including spray-painted murals and hand-drawn home portraits, which real estate agents gift to their clients. Today, most of my work focuses on digital art — a medium I've grown to appreciate even more as a father of three, for its flexibility and efficiency.

When I’m not building websites or creating digital art, you’ll most likely find me spending time with my family. I’m married to my wonderful wife, Maggie, and together we have three amazing children: Rosie, Katie, and Saint. Family is at the heart of everything I do.

Outside of work and family life, I’m passionate about golf and have recently taken up disc golf as a new hobby. Whether it’s on the course or at home, I believe in bringing focus, patience, and creativity to everything I pursue — qualities I also bring to every project I take on.
